Location

The Old Town (Stare Mesto) area, with Old Town Square at its heart, has evolved into the central shopping area. Every December, the square is transformed into a magical tapestry of colour and lights when it hosts the Christmas Market.

The wonderfully preserved Mala Strana or Lesser Town, on the left bank of the Vltava River, is by contrast very peaceful. This is where our hotel is located, in a 14th-century monastery set amidst gardens, palaces and churches.

With Mandarin Oriental, Prague you’ll find one more jewel in this city of treasures. This section provides you with concierge recommendations things to see and do, where to shop and dine and other useful information.

Rooms & Suites

Rooms throughout all Mandarin Oriental hotels always emphasise the identity of the city you are visiting.

Prague is renowned for historic architecture and in our designs we have carefully preserved specific characteristics to reinforce the building's origins as a 14th Century monastery. Each room has its own individual features; you will find high ceilings, some vaulted, some arched. Others have tall windows through which shafts of light pour through, spilling over the original parquet flooring polished over hundreds of years.

Limestone bathrooms, with heated floors are created as private spas and equipped with rejuvenating aromatherapy essential oils and balms.

All 99 guest rooms including 22 suites are fitted with extremely sophisticated audio visual equipment, including two LCD high definition televisions, three in every suite, and high speed internet connections.

Leisure

The most soothing experience for someone wearied by touring the marvellous sites is to relax in our Spa, situated in the serene confines of a former Renaissance Church. If you prefer we also have a fully equipped gymnasium.

Dining

With surroundings as glorious as these, there is no reason not to make our restaurants and bar equally magnificent. Essensia, comprised of five adjoining rooms crowned by vaulted ceilings, boasts the best of authentic Asian and modern European cuisine. It also has an extensive wine cellar, skillfully stocked with fine vintages from France, Italy and the New World, as well as an exclusive selection from the best regional boutique wineries for enthusiastic oenophiles.

Diffused lighting and Asian accents make the BAREGO Bar a chic yet intimate rendezvous, perfect for daytime snacking, evening cocktails, and anytime people watching.

Last but not least, our beautiful Monastery Lounge, set amongst a breathtaking colonnade, formerly a cloister corridor, is the place to be to enjoy our world-famous afternoon tea.

Business

Our rooms are not just full of character, with decor that is sensitive to the building's original features, but they also have beautiful Asian accents, many touches of fine luxury and everything you need to get the job done while you're on the road.

Situated in the centre of the embassy district and near the high-end business addresses, this is a convenient and supremely elegant location. Our restaurant and bar are sought-after invitations and highly suitable for business rendezvous. Our business centre provides all necessary support for your work and when you need to relax our Spa, in a former Renaissance church, makes a particularly spiritual retreat.

Meetings

Our sensitive renovation of this historic site offers a stimulating base for a conference or meeting. Our business centre will be a reliable resource with staff offering intelligent back up.

Our catering is imaginative and impressive and our staff always lives up to the Mandarin Oriental ethos, anticipating your requirements and going every step of the way to deliver.
